Santa Fe, NM Prosecuting Baldwin, or Guns?

“Baldwin alleges he never pulled the trigger on the gun, but it still fired. However, further testing—which required a reconstruction of the gun, which was damaged during initial FBI testings—suggested that he would have had to pull the trigger for it to go off.” Slate, paragraph 11 https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/why-prosecutors-still-coming-alec-214902062.html?ref=spot-im-jac?spot_im_highlight_immediate=true&spot_im_reply_id=sp_Rba9aFpG_8ea11e87-cacb-3c05-b1a3-acc98efbef0b_c_2bacolZ6zHPGTGELipmazMLcgcn_r_2baeCUesqZBscD6GNzef7elAiPJ&utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=e-mail&utm_campaign=message-approved&spot_im_redirect_source=email

This is evidence ‘tampering,’ i.e., spoliage due to mishandling during chain-of-custody by the FBI and Baldwin’s attorneys should demand the case be dismissed.

Here is an instruction on testing the ‘safety notches’ or sear of an 1873 SSA Colt, in this case a Pietta or Cimarron reproduction.

“Click number three, the SAA cylinder stop, happens shortly before the full cock notch. At this stage, the hammer has not engaged; if released, it will drop back to the half cock (if the trigger is not being held down), the safety notch (if the trigger is not held and the half cock is excessively worn or damaged), or all the way to the resting position (if the trigger is being pulled, or both notches are damaged). Letting the hammer down in a harsh or uncontrolled fashion is sometimes a cause of excessively worn or damaged notches and should be avoided.

The ‘safety notches’ are on the hammer for the trigger to click into, a part easily damaged by ‘fanning’ the hammer or incorrectly checking its function. Depending on the source, the sear spring can be from $4.25 to $25, a part easily replaced by a competent armorer or amateur. Or, the full cock notch on the hammer can be damaged from ‘fanning’ plus the concussive power of the gunpowder, again and again as the hammer is fanned back and the trigger not fully pulled.

Indeed, one wonders if the hapless third victim in this case is Baldwin when the prosecution centers on ‘guns are dangerous, therefore Baldwin neglected his duty of care.’ Bingo, you have a manslaughter conviction.

But the government has a history of corruption of and withholding evidence:

  1. The Democrat operative suspected of leaking Hillary Clinton’s emails, Seth Rich, has a computer that the FBI has withheld. This evidence is being demanded in a recent lawsuit. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/bombshell-ruling-from-texas-judge-fbi-ordered-to-turn-over-seth-rich-laptop/ar-AA1kYss0
  2. January 6th Defendants being held in the DC ‘gulag’ denied bail and outside communications have been denied exculpatory evidence in security video withheld by Speaker Pelosi. After two years this video has already provided evidence clearing the defendants, and proven perjury by FBI and Capitol Police witnesses.
  3. Hunter Biden’s laptop was covered up, withheld, and denied . . . social media and news blocked in order to protect his father’s presidential campaign.

  1. The FBI has screwed the pooch on this one…again. There is now no way to determine if a hammer, dropped before fully cocked, would fire without a finger being on the trigger.

    Not guilty.

    1. I don’t get it. The FBI used to have the BEST gunsmiths. I had an FBI or DEA issue Model 65 (wish I never sold it) and the action was unbelievable.
For the FBI to damage the gun during chain-of-custody, or not be able to determine if the sear/trigger notches were damaged prior to opening the gun . . . case over, dismissed.

      1. We agree. It was negligence…or it was deliberate. Hmmm, which could it be?
