Here are the Articles of Impeachment against President Trump which the House approved by a handful of votes, but the Senate found Trump not guilty.
The Articles are complete fabrications, lies. Read them for yourself and then five of them disproven in the list provided.
DID PRESIDENT TRUMP INCITE AN INSURRECTION?
That is the first question, and the answer is, ‘No.’
Here is how Democrats phrased their Articles of Impeachment against Trump in 2021, attempting to impeach an ex-president.
Donald John Trump engaged in high Crimes and Misdemeanors by inciting violence against the Government of the United States, in that:
On January 6, 2021, pursuant to the 12th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, the House of Representatives, and the Senate met at the United States Capitol for a Joint Session of Congress to count the votes of the Electoral College. In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials. Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. There, he reiterated false claims that “we won this election, and we won it by a landslide.” He also willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged — and foreseeably resulted in — lawless action at the Capitol, such as: “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.” Thus incited by President Trump, members of the crowd he had addressed, in an attempt to, among other objectives, interfere with the Joint Session’s solemn constitutional duty to certify the results of the 2020 Presidential election, unlawfully breached and vandalized the Capitol, injured and killed law enforcement personnel, menaced Members of Congress, the Vice President, and Congressional personnel, and engaged in other violent, deadly, destructive and seditious acts.
President Trump’s conduct on January 6, 2021, followed his prior efforts to subvert and obstruct the certification of the results of the 2020 Presidential election. Those prior efforts included a phone call on January 2, 2021, during which President Trump urged the secretary of state of Georgia, Brad Raffensperger, to “find” enough votes to overturn the Georgia Presidential election results and threatened Secretary Raffensperger if he failed to do so.
This resolution was rife with ERRORS:
1) Technically, the Joint Session was meeting to count electoral votes, but it was known in advance that an unprecedented Six States and 147 Legislators had filed lawful Title 3 §15 Objections demanding debates and voting to decertify Biden’s electors. This is an important point as Trump had ZERO MOTIVE to disrupt these proceedings, while the Democrats absolutely did! https://www.npr.org/sections/insurrection-at-the-capitol/2021/01/07/954380156/here-are-the-republicans-who-objected-to-the-electoral-college-count
2) Trump and 150 legislators fought throughout the election process, even filing in the U.S. Supreme Court against unconstitutional distribution of mail ballots. Secretaries of State and election boards were being ‘bribed’ by Dominion Voting Systems and Non-Governmental Groups and ordered/bribed how to manage the election. Part of this was the unlawful mailing of Absentee Ballot Applications and mass-mailings of ballots (Georgia and Pennsylvania did this in complete violation of election law.) These mail ballots, counted for days after Election Night in several states, flipped landslide Trump victories to Biden. Speaking out against potential election irregularities, illegal ballots, and fraud is not ILLEGAL but a First Amendment Right. It is the Right of Redress, and government agencies like Dominion (contracted to process elections) and those two Georgia election workers who sued Rudy Giuliani are barred from suing for Defamation for that very reason.
3) Trump did not incite a violent riot. His ‘fight like hell’ was taken out of context and referred to legal fights and not giving up on investigations. In fact, when he ended the Ellipse speeches at 1:13PM he said that he knew many of them were ‘walking to the Capitol . . . peacefully and patriotically . . . to support those brave legislators’ who were arguing their Title 3 Objections, a lengthy legal process in support of Trump’s claims of massive election fraud.
4) While Trump was speaking at the Ellipse, the Capitol was attacked by a couple hundred extremely violent rioters who were NOT at the Ellipse, but organized days ahead with riot gear and chartered buses. When Trump supporters arrived at the Capitol, the damage was already done, the Capitol breached . . . the riot started at 1PM and Trump supporters didn’t arrive until about 2PM.
5) Capitol Police Killed — This is false. One officer died of natural causes a day or so after the riot. In fact, two Trump supporters caught up in the riot later were killed, murdered, by Capitol Police. A woman, Rosalyn Boyland, was beaten to death after being gassed, and Ashli Babbitt was shot in the neck. Neither Boyland or Babbitt had weapons or were violent.
In Conclusion: Everything Pres. Trump said at the Ellipse speech was lawful and in support of the Joint Session proceedings. In contrast, evidence is finally being revealed (thanks to videos released and Republicans taking congress in 2022) that the attack on the Capitol was organized well in advance using professional agitators, FBI, and even chartered buses.
